Where Founders and Funders Pitch for Investors
Venture Mechanics Startup Launchpad in Bellevue offers startup founders numerous opportunities to pitch their deals every month. From “low stakes” opportunities to just hone their public speaking skills and spread the word about their companies, to “high stakes” venture competitions.
We also provide a venue for emerging venture and private equity funds to pitch to LPs, a unique option for fund managers that are usually only pitching angels and families offices one-on-one.
Venture Saturdays
Venture Saturdays are held bimonthly and run from 10am to 8:30pm. There are two pitching competitions to choose from. In the Raw Concept Pitch Competition, 10 aspiring founders are given three minutes to pitch their business concepts, with two minutes of Q&A from an expert panel (Free). In the Venture Pitch Competition, five active startup founders are given five minutes to pitch, plus five minutes of Q&A with the judges. They also get a demo table at the event. ($75)
New Tech Eastside
New Tech Northwest Eastside Meetups are held monthly, and offer three founders the chance to talk about their startups in a “block party vibe” environment. Pitchers get eight minutes to present, with five minutes of audience Q&A. They also get a demo table at the event. ($75)
The Summit for Underrepresented Founders
The Summit for Underrepresented Founder Groups is a quarterly event, one of our largest. After the panel discussions, five diverse founders are given five minutes to pitch, plus three minutes of Q&A. They also get a demo table at the event. ($75)
Diversity Groups at Venture Mechanics
Each of the diversity groups based at Venture Mechanics (a growing list including Black, Women, Veteran, Latino, Filipino, Indigenous… see list) also give their members an opportunity for a five minute pitch followed by 5 minutes of Q&A with the audience. The cadence of these meetings varies from four to twelve times per year. (Currently Free)
Launchpad Expo Investor Conferences
A cohort of 4-5 highly-vetted startups with founders from various industry and social verticals will be presenting to an expert investor panel and an audience of accredited investors. This conference is for early stage (pre-seed, seed and Series A) private and institutional investors.
Pitch Coaching is Available!
Venture Mechanics holds pitch clinics on a regular basis, including four times a year as part of the Founder Workshop Series, and six times a year during Venture Saturdays. Companies in the Incubator/Accelerator can get coaching from our mentors as part of the program. We can also refer founders as well as funders to professional pitch coaches that work specifically within the startup ecosystem.
